Can one ride/drive up to the statue?

Take bikes and cars at your own risk. Two-wheelers need to be careful as the road causes bikes to skid and the road is full of stones and mud. I walked the distance quite easily, seemed tiring at times.

The ascent is 1-2 km rather sharp, over stones. along the way, there is a rock, a water fountain that does not work and a place for a selfie. Around 25 mins walk up the hill to the statue, but it is worth and once you are on top it’s just amazing. Definitely must visit place if you love adventure travels or want to just see some beautiful mountains. Most amazing sunset view one can capture.

Overall very pretty location and a photogenic place. The statue is beautiful, the view that opens up to the eye sitting next to the Buddha is cooler at times. An amazing mesmerising view from the hilltop, the huge white Buddha statue looks beautiful and serene

The View from the top is magnificent. Begin your trekking journey early to avoid direct sun as there is no shelter or shade.

Clothing Recommendations for Optimal Comfort and Mobility

1 –  Opt for loose-fitting trousers that provide ample legroom for ease of movement. Tight clothing can restrict your stride and lead to discomfort, especially during extended periods of walking.

2 – Wearing sturdy and comfortable shoes is essential for walking long distances. Proper footwear will protect your feet from blisters and fatigue while providing support and stability on uneven terrain.

3 – Protect yourself from the sun by wearing a hat or cap. This will prevent sunburn and keep you cool during the day.

Additional Tips:

It is better to carry a hat or Umbrella. There are multiple adventurous places on the way but they are not fully operational. Take enough water bottles and snacks before climbing. The best time to visit is at sunrise or sunset.

A bit on the offbeat side and not a touristy place. Suitable for the locals as they are familiar with the situation.

What is the best time to visit?

Gudi Paroda the Buddha statue in Goa, the best time to visit is from October to March, during the morning or evening. They close before 6:00 pm, and most importantly beware of wild animals and hence not recommended beyond 6 pm.

If you are walking by that road it’s not a good idea to walk between 11 am to 3 pm approx. And as there are no trees on the way, one is bound to get exhausted and dehydrated due to the unfavourable roads.
