Joe’s River Cove Restaurant & Bar – Cavellosim – Goa , an amazing restaurant for perfect family outing. The ambience is pleasant with greenery around and the interior is soothing, calm and airy with constant cool breeze blowing along with lovely scenic riverside view having open air sitting arrangements.
Importantly, the restaurant serves sea food according to choices and the rates are fairly reasonable moreover, they are specialized in seafood.
Joe’s River Cove, has different kind of atmosphere when you go for lunch and dinner.
If you prefer quite environment, I mean Susegad feel kind of lunch (Susegad in Konkani means” relaxed”) then lunch is ideal setting.

Moreover, if you are fond of foot tapping music and want to shake your body a bit then there is live music in the evenings only on every Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
All in all it’s an ideal place for celebrations and enjoyments. One gets a feel of floating on the river whilst eating.
The place is spacious as mostly wedding ceremonies, birthday parties and other events are hosted in the evenings.
They serve sumptuous food & beverages and authentic goan dishes, check Ambot Tik, Ranchead Squids and Mackerrel’s, tasty local delicacies and favorites of goans.
A good bar menu and the cocktails+mocktails are fairly good.
Suggested dish – Pork Chops, goan Pork Sausages and Mussels Rawa fry are crowd favorites here.
Try Serradura goan cuisine best dessert which went as per my taste.
I liked the starters the stuffed Mushrooms and batter fried Calamari, the stuffed mushrooms are absolutely delicious. It’s something you should definitely order.
And Chicken Malai Kabab for the main course, tummy full lunch for two for Rs. 1500 approximately.
However, not much options for vegetarians, I did try Gobi Manchurian and Dhall Tadka and Masala Papad when I visited the second time.
Location
The restaurant is located at Cavellosim near the Ferry, Pasos Ward – on an isolated stretch of road. And in case if you are traveling from Margao – Navelim – Chinchinim – Assolna – After crossing Assolna be alert because, just midway before Velim you need to take right turn, as you ride little distance you will come across the River Sal and the bridge.

Conclusion
I found the staff very hospitable and very courteous too. The taste and maintenance was very precise. I would recommend to families who would love to make their evening a memorable one because, Joe River Cove is certainly a decent place to dine out with families and friends.
Joe River Cove , So, this is one of the best places to dine out in South Goa and further more, the infrastructure is good. Well, another hidden gem in South Goa for me.
