Goa’s largest beach – CALANGUTE BEACH – GOA’S FLAGSHIP BEACH

CALANGUTE BEACH – GOA’S FLAGSHIP BEACH, It is situated in the North of Goa, it is considered as the largest beach in North Goa.

Situated about 15 km from Panjim, it’s a commercial beach with shops, boutiques, hotels, and resorts including local guest’s houses. Hence, live within your budget, rates are quite nominal.

THINGS TO DO AT CALANGUTE BEACH

Major attractions are water sports activities, nearby places to visit, riding on hired bikes and cars. Just provide a copy of your driving license as id proof and drive away the whole day.

Calangute beach in Goa is also known as the Queen of Beaches. I highly recommend the period from November to February as the most pleasant time to visit here. Therefore, of course, December is the top priority month beginning the Christmas week, until the new year.

Feni (Liquor)

Then, all along the beach the tempting Shacks, which serve food including drinks. But, don’t forget to taste the local drink Feni
which is my favorite too, which is made from the juice of Caju fruit and Coconut.

Calangute Beach, Goa has plenty to offer in terms of adventures and experiences. Moreover, including water sports, undoubtedly, Calangute is a perfect place for kayaking, sailing, wind-surfing, water snorkeling, water-skiing, fishing, etc.

Firstly, the rates vary according to seasons, so if you are considering budgeting your holidays then visit Goa during the off-season.

IS GOA SAFE AT NIGHT

Of course, Goa is the safest state, in all, it’s very quite safe for women even at night but, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to take any chances.

Avoid secluded places, you can travel from Baga to Candolim to Panjim for night Boat rides and Casinos at any time. Also, same for south Goa, you can enjoy on any of the beaches.

Panjim is famous for night boat rides and Casinos at any time. Therefore, Casinos are available only in Panjim. However, you can enjoy yourself on any of the beaches, but avoid going from one beach to another at night.

Moreover, local people here are friendly and won’t cause any harm most of the time. They don’t really bother much really. But, Caution, make sure that with whomever you co-ordinate, is originally Goan settled.

Because, sometimes, not by foreigners but our fellow Indians who come to Goa with some rubbish sexual fantasies in mind.

Nightlife is one thing that almost every visitor wishes to visit. In winters around December, Sunburn Festival is celebrated on Candolim beach for 3 days. This festival is filled with dance, music, shopping, food, and other entertainment.
