BUDDHA STATUE IN GOA the place is commonly known as Buddha hill trek. As I was attending a wedding at Dr. Neville’s Dance Floor which is very close to Nagesh Love Forests, for instance, I could see beautifully decorated lightning on the top of the hill.

I got curious, so the next day I made a plan to visit this place, to refresh and activate my mind.

If you are fond of trekking, climbing and interested to have an awesome aerial view of the villages, then you must visit this place. However, the statue of Buddha painted in white is placed at a very high altitude on the top of a huge rock which is sloppy a bit.

More importantly, the area is well barricaded as safety measures. Quite a number of people are already visiting this place by now even though the location seems newly built. as still a lot of work seems remaining. It is a project by Nagesh Eco Ventures.

My Final Conclusion

Moreover, it’s about 1.5 km trekking to a hilltop of 250 meters. Good location for enjoying with families and friends, groups, and school visits.

Certainly had an amazing experience climbing the hill, a curvy way leading to the top. Further, you also have an option to drive up to the statue. In between the way, there are two locations reserved for parking.

Do not visit in the afternoon as it gets hot and humid therefore, one should avoid between 11 am to 3 pm. Do carry sufficient water so that you don’t get dehydrated as you climb the hill.

Best period to visit is from the month of October until March when the weather is good.

If you are fond of watching the sun setting then be there until 6 pm but with due permission.

In short, it lies to the south of Goa, so if you are driving from Margao via Kepem road then follow the road leading up to Gudi, Sao Jose De Areal. It’s about 9 km, approximately 20 min. drive from Margao.

Entry Fee: Rs. 150 for adults – Rs. 50 for children
