Arrest Made in Calangute Tourist Scam Case
Two people have been arrested by the Calangute police in Goa for cheating two tourists at a restaurant and massage parlour.
The incident occurred when the accused individuals lured the tourists to the establishment, promising them massage services.
Instead, they convinced one of the tourists to transfer Rs 6,000 (Indian Rupees) as a security deposit to the bank account of one of the accused persons.
No massage service was provided, and the tourists were then asked to pay Rs 32,000 for two drinks consumed by two women present at the restaurant.
When the tourists refused to pay, they were confined in a room, verbally abused, and threatened with harm.
The police have arrested two of the accused individuals, while the other two are currently on the run.
